Special transformers for demanding applications, such as onshore and offshore wind farms, are manufactured at the Special Transformer Factory in Vaasa, Finland.

To deliver electricity to consumption – to industries and households – voltage must be lowered to an appropriate and safe level. Transformers are responsible for this task. SOP-Metal’s busbar assemblies conduct electricity within the transformers.
For quality and reliability, welding seams are critical points in Hitachi Energy’s components. The busbar surface must be flawless and free from sharp angles, damages, or impurities.
