Waterjet cutting investment strengthens SOP-Metal’s production capabilities and customer service

The system, ordered from Muototerä Oy, replaces the company’s previous 3000-bar machine and enables even more precise, efficient, and versatile cutting solutions for demanding customer needs. Combining high cutting pressure with dual high-pressure pumps (125 hp + 60 hp), the new setup significantly raises overall cutting performance.

The FINJET H3060 is designed for high-efficiency cutting across a wide range of materials – in addition to metals like copper, aluminum, and steel, it can also process plastics and insulation materials. It is particularly well-suited for cutting materials several centimeters thick without causing heat effects or deformation.

The system features three 2D cutting heads, with a repeatability of ±0.015 mm and a positioning accuracy of ±0.025 mm/m, ensuring precise and consistent results even in high-volume production. Multi-head cutting and strong pump capacity allow for highly efficient throughput and faster lead times.

Installation is scheduled for early 2026, with production starting immediately after commissioning and staff training.
