SOP-Metal has updated its Climate Impact Report!

The new report provides a comprehensive overview of our carbon footprint across all operations, covering key emission sources from Scopes 1, 2, and 3, including:

• Direct emissions
• Purchased electricity and district heating
• Employee commuting and business travel
• Logistics and waste

“The report not only shows where we currently stand, but also serves as a practical tool for reducing our emissions. One recent example is our new electricity contract, which we selected largely based on its carbon-free profile,” says Quality Manager Jani Kinnari.

According to Kinnari, the report also serves as a valuable foundation for future development projects and investment decisions.

“When emission sources and their impacts are identified transparently, we can focus our efforts on the areas where reductions will make the biggest difference – and base our decisions accordingly. This supports our long-term goal of lower-emission manufacturing and a more responsible supply chain,” Kinnari adds.
