SOP-Metal has ordered a new EHRT busbar punching machine and a Gantry warehouse system. The total value of the investment, including the required factory modifications, is over 1.5 million euros.
The new system will significantly enhance our busbar production. The new punching machine will enable more versatile and precise punching and cutting operations in the future, improving production flexibility and efficiency.
The warehouse system, in turn, will increase our production automation and improve material handling. The system includes, for example, automatic alignment of the busbars, which speeds up and improves the accuracy of material transfer and handling.
Additionally, the machine is equipped with a six-position tool station and the PowerCut software with network features. To improve ergonomics, the machine also includes a rotating crane that helps with the tool changes.
“With this investment, we will be able to meet our customers’ needs even better by offering them our high-quality products much more efficiently. Additionally, the new system will increase our production capacity and significantly shorten our delivery times, which supports our future growth objectives and strengthens our competitiveness in international markets,” says SOP-Metal’s CEO Sami Kuntola.
Installation and commissioning of the system is scheduled for autumn 2024.
